“Libere di… al Teatro Arcimboldi”
This collaboration with @CastingBambini was definitely a special one during the Milano Fashion Week in September 2020; the location gave us all the energy as well as the power to carry out a variety of colors and mood; from the modern and grand theater to the most memorable late September weather, sunny and breezy, perfect for the photographers to capture the simplicity and clearness of the outfit worn by the young multi-ethnical models.
This very 1st collection of unique pieces came out through the union of collected fabrics (remnants of various continents as well as years of travels) and the utter sensibility towards quality over quantity.
Thus, using Linens, Silk Shantungs, Cottons and traditional Batiks altogether to form a collection that could stand out and on its own wherever it may be.
This time in collaboration with a wonderful casting association to emphasize the fact that Malaika is for everyone.

“Modern Warriors” in Torino, chez Claudia Pour Toujours
This shooting was dedicated to the 1st Fashion pieces of Malaika and after having read Federica Schifano’s article on her blog, I fell in love with the title.
The goal behind this mini Collection is Slow Fashion but most of all the Unicity within each style.
There are 3 sizes per style, each one worked out differently to highlight their irreplicability.
It is of utter importance to emphasize the uniqueness and singleness of each piece as each one stands on its own despite being part of an ensemble.
Malaika reinforces and prizes artisan-made quality over quantity and industrialization….
Ultimately, Less is More just as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe once said.
This very 1st collection of unique pieces came out through the union of collected fabrics (remnants of various continents as well as years of travels) and the utter sensibility towards quality over quantity. The lounge jackets as well as the trousers were handpainted by artist Sarah Bowyer, to give each piece that sense of eclectic taste yet fully Made in Italy.

A Subtle Charme
“A Subtle Charme” at Villa Althea – Relais de Charme / Mango
Located in the heart of the Langhe wine district and surrounded by lush vineyards planted with Dolcetto and Moscato, Villa Althea is a noble country residence dating back to the early 800 and property of the owner’s ancestors.
It is very special to me, too because despite being extremely dense, it is elegantly unique.
The interiors are elegant and adorned with classic-style furniture skilfully combined with an exotic one and precious fabrics by the bright colors. Each room shows great attention to detail, a passion for color and a personal eclecticism in style.
In some ways, I feel quite connected to ita s Malaika is the symbol of simplicity; putting a great deal of attention to details.
This shooting was specifically dedicated to the outfits as part of an ambience.
Each model was photographed in a separate room and to top it all; the final shooting was in the most iconic place of the Villa: the swimming pool of 60 square meters surrounded by large Art Nouveau windows that you can open in Summer and have an outdoor use of the pool.
New pieces coming in, double breasted coats in Wool and mixed Linen as well as embroidered Cotton mixed with vintage Batik.
Hand painted by artist Sarah Bowyer, to give each piece that sense of eclectic taste yet fully Made in Italy.
